The history behind the collection at Gemstones, Antiquarian Books and Sculptures began when Connie was in elementary school. A family friend introduced her to the hobby of rock polishing and gave her a machine. As a young girl, Connie was fascinated by the slow transformation of plain rocks into beautifully polished and glossy stones.

Since then, her interest in beautiful items that nature creates, blossomed.

Later in life, Connie found artifacts from all over the world, when she travelled to various locations for school and work. She studied in Europe, found fossils in Morrocco, jade in South East Asia, Buddhist statues in South Asia.
